These organizations are committed to helping homosexuals turn their lives around and live a Godly life.
MMA believes that homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed. Embracing homosexual behavior as a normative condition is highly destructive. Why? Because it betrays the innate heterosexual potential of every same sex attracted man and woman and destroys our culture. It is by definition unnatural, and as such is associated with negative physical and psychological health effects. While the origins of same-sex attractions may be complex, the evidence suggest that homosexuality is a learned behavior and can be changed. The American College of Pediatricians released a fact sheet about youth in April 2010 stating, “Homosexuality is not a genetically-determined, unchangeable trait. Homosexual attraction is determined by a combination of familial, environmental, social and biological influences. Inheritance of predisposing personality traits may play a role for some. Consequently, homosexual attraction is changeable.” (www.FactsAboutYouth.com)
MMA opposes the vigorous efforts of homosexual activists to demand that homosexuality be accepted as equivalent to heterosexuality in law, in the media, and in schools. Attempts to join two men or two women in “marriage” constitute a radical redefinition and falsification of the institution, MMA supports state and federal constitutional amendments to prevent such redefinition by courts. Sympathy must be extended to those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attractions, and every effort should be made to assist such persons to overcome those attractions, as many already have. MMA believes that homosexuality is learned behavior that can be corrected with the help of the Lord along with various ministries. The ministries that have successfully helped homosexuals overcome and/or control their same sex attractions are:
